The austere gray cloud enshrouding the azure breaks

The earthy petrichor emanates

The captivating Peacocks unfurl iridescent plumes

Trying to meld with my crestfallen soul’s pitter patter

The fragrant zephyr caressing my tousled curls

Is a ruthless reminder of you and only you.

Drenched in my fervent emotions,

Your mellifluous misty gusts of memories,

Abruptly halt my being

I pause for a vacant breath,

Then plunge down,

Losing myself in the deluge of glistening memories.
