True Lies

Jaded but joyous, we walked through the beach.

Overtly overwhelmed by the restive and wild waves

Which adorably acknowledged our love.

The vibrant and vivacious stars

Applauded with their ferocious fervor.

Years later, I reminisce those memorable moments

With a poignant pen in my hand

Through a starry and stellar night, your distant arms

Encircled me again, the last time.

Yet again, I was being called a lousy liar

For my truth never set me free!
